Summary:
The Enterprise Application Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of enterprise applications. This includes ensuring alignment with business needs, maintaining system performance and availability, embedding cybersecurity and regulatory requirements, and architecting solutions to support organizational growth.
This role involves managing system integrations, leading incident management and root cause analysis, documenting SOPs and runbooks, and providing end-user training and support. Additionally, the manager will conduct capacity planning, mentor the Systems Manager, and collaborate with IT professionals, vendors, and business teams to ensure applications meet current and future business needs.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with vendors and business partners to ensure applications align with business and cybersecurity requirements.
- Ensure enterprise applications and systems are technically viable and aligned with the organization's strategic plan.
- Train users and work closely with end-users to analyze feedback, resolve issues, and provide support.
- Monitor and manage enterprise applications to ensure optimal performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Oversee system integrations and maintain seamless interoperability between enterprise applications and other systems.
- Work with the information security team to ensure applications are secure, scalable, and compliant with policies.
- Manage application lifecycle processes, including upgrades, patches, and migration or decommissioning of outdated applications.
- Define, document, and test disaster recovery (DR) plans for hosted applications, ensuring vendors conduct regular testing based on established recovery objectives (RPO/RTO).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
General Requirements:
- Ability to travel within San Diego County, including locations with limited public transportation.
- Proof of liability and property damage insurance for travel.
Driver Requirements:
- Valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
- No more than 2 violations and/or accidents within the last 3 years.
- No vehicle-related suspensions or reinstatements.
- No DUI, reckless driving, or felony driving incidents within the last 7 years.
Technical & Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application/systems management and governance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ITIL certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong ability to identify system issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Expertise in incident and problem management, troubleshooting, and resolving technical challenges.
- Experience in managing multiple system implementations and lifecycle processes simultaneously.
- Proficiency in change and release management processes and tools.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring and capacity planning methodologies.
- Budget management experience and ability to ensure the on-time delivery of technology initiatives.
- Expertise in application integration frameworks for seamless data exchange between systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and best practices for securing applications.
- Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies, industry regulations, and best practices.
